Xavier Lamont Griffin

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved Xavier Lamont Griffin, on June 6, 2025. Xavier was a loving father, son, brother, a bestfriend and truly one of the kindest, funniest and most beautiful souls you could ever meet. He was the type of person who could lift up the room with his smile and life anyone's spirit with his laughter.

Despite living with a mental disorder, Xavier lived each day with remarkable strength and joy. He never let his struggles define him instead he gave everything he had to people he loved. His happiness was genuine, his love unconditional and his presence was a blessing in the lives of everyone lucky enough to know him. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Griffin, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Journii Griffin; loving mother, Sharon Mizell (stepdad, Quinton Johnson); brothers, Amos, Jarvell and Charles (CJ); sisters, Janasia, Anonnie, and Sheena; grandmother, Estelle Lassiter and husband; grandfather, Thomas Hicks and wife; uncle, Travis Mizell and wife; aunt, Michela Elliott and husband; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held noon, Friday, June 27, 2025 at Balm Church-East Campus. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
