Willie Edward Roberts

Willie E. Roberts, 56, of Holladay Street, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Monday, October 29, 2018, at Sentara Obici Hosptial. He was the son of the late Henry Roberts and Nellie Ruth Nowell Roberts. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Roberts and Ricky Roberts; one sister, Nellie Roberts.Willie attended Waterbury Public Schools and he received his carpentry training from Wilcox Tech; and he was a local businessman and a member of Love Center Family Church since 1998, where he served on numerous axillaries such as Deacon's Ministry, Usher's Ministry, Men of Wisdom, LCFC Security Team, Men's Choir.He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Willie Roberts Jr. of Amherst, MA; daughter, Jena' Wilson of Stamford, CT; two brothers, Richard Roberts of Waterbury, CT and Charles Roberts (Dorothy) of Florence, SC; sister, Selena Roberts of Waterbury, CT; sister-in-law, Mary Colleen Roberts of Waterbury, CT; six godchildren, Mahogany Hodges Smalls, Crystal Hodges Smalls, Jasmine Hodges Smalls, Serenity Baker, Marcus Baker, and Piere Baker; very special friends, Adele Reid, Patricia Goodman, and Marcella Parker;  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,and friends.A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2018, at New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries. He will be laid to rest at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2018, in Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury, CT.
