Willie Mac Teal, 90, of Godwin Blvd, Suffolk, Virginia, transitioned at his residence on Sunday, July 30, 2023. He was a native of Suffolk, VA and the son of the late Willie James Teal and Helen Marie Teal. He was predeceased by his wife, Cornell Jackson Teal, sons, Herbert "Herbie" Teal and Christopher MCray, and one brother-in-law, Ransom Smith. He attended East Suffolk High School, where he played football. He attended Allen University in Colombia, SC, where he also played football. He was employed as a supply truck delivery driver from the Norfolk Naval Air Station and retired after 32 years of civil service. After retirement, he was an excursion and tour bus driver for Herman White Bus Service and Lassiter Bus Service for several years. He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Jeri Teal (Denise), and one sister, Lula Smith of Brooklyn, New York; eight grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren; remaining brother and sisters-in-law, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and several devoted friends. A public viewing will be held 3:00-7:00pm, Friday, August 4, 2023 at Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 11:00am, Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Little Bethel Baptist Church.
