Willie L. Jordan

On the morning of August 28, 2021, God dispatched His angels to bring home from labor to reward our beloved Willie Lester Jordan. Willie was born on August 16, 1930 in Nansemond County, Virginia to the late Robert Faulk and Irene Jordan. He was predeceased by his precious wife of 60+ years, Catherine Jordan; brother, Charlie Jordan and sister, Janet Hargrove. Willie was raised in Nansemond County, VA and matriculated through the public school system. After advancing through school, Willie entered the workforce and secured employment. He retired after 35 years of stellar and dedicated service working as a Production Controller for Norfolk Naval Air Station. Willie leaves to cherish his memories and precious legacy a daughter, Vanessa Jordan of Suffolk, VA; four sons, Willie E. Jordan (Annette) of Suffolk, VA, Donald Jordan (Edna) of Hampton, VA, Valtenia Savage , and John Jordan (Maxine) of Suffolk, VA; four sisters, Lenora Gay of Philadelphia, PA, Nora Morris (Johnnie) of Suffolk, VA, Ann Thomas of Portsmouth, VA, and Catherine Wilkins of Suffolk, VA; one brother, Samuel Thomas of Durham, NC; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 am Saturday, September 4, 2021 at New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries, 307 County St. Suffolk, VA. Rev. John Jordan will deliver the message of comfort.
