William Mack Wilson, 71, of Cedar Ct, Suffolk, Virginia peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, April 13, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 30, 1951 to the late Shelly Wilson and Mildred Warren Wilson. In addition to his parents, William was also preceded in death by a daughter, La’Ketydra Wilson-Moore; sister, Anita Wilson; and two brothers, Alexander Wilson and Joseph Wilson. William leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Gladys Knight-Wilson of Suffolk, VA; three daughters, Belinda Williams (Charles), Wanda Knight, and Adrienne Knight-Bowers (James), all of Suffolk, VA; two sons, Keith Wilson of Zuni, VA and Troy Parrish of Suffolk, VA; 12 grandchildren, MaKayla Miller of Greensboro, NC, Keon Wilson (Analisia) of Baumholder, Germany, Keya Tinsley (Travis) of Ivor, VA, Jessica Williams and KeNisha Wilson, both of Richmond, VA, Charnisha Williams of Alexandria, VA, Rynesha Knight of Virginia Beach, VA, Kene Shields, Jeremiah Bryant, Jamia Bryant, James Bowers, and Joi Bowers, all of Suffolk, VA; 10 great-grandchildren, Malakai Wilson, Khalis Wilson, Khaliyah Wilson, Channing Williams, Aubree Tinsley, Travis Tinsley, Jr, Maliyah Johnson, Adrian Scatterfield, Jett Scatterfield, and Keori Knight-Murray; two sisters, Shirley A. Blount of Norfolk, VA and Louise Young (James) of Smithfield, VA; four brothers, Alton Wilson (Patricia) of Windsor, VA, Calvin Wilson of Suffolk, VA, Clarence Wilson (Sally) of Smithfield, VA, and David Wilson of Suffolk, VA; one aunt, Mary Lou Berry; one uncle, Willie James Warren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A public viewing will be held 2:00-6:00pm, Thursday, April 20, 2023 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be held noon, Friday, April 21, 2023 at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Wilson will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
