William Thomas Turner, Jr.

William Thomas Turner, Jr., 68, of Lee Street, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Monday, December 2, 2019 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was the son of the late Mary Louise Floyd Dashille and William T. Turner, Sr. He was a graduate of Georgia Tyler High School-Windsor, VA and retired from Huntington Ingalls Industries after 25 plus years of faithful and dedicated service as a Crane Operator and the Wood Work Shop. He was baptized at an early age at Bryants Baptist Church, Capron, Virginia.  He leaves to cherish his memory his son, William Thomas Turner, III of Columbia, SC; sister, Elsie E. Jackson of Suffolk, VA; four brothers, Alexander Turner of Suffolk, VA, Roy Lee (Betty)Turner of Salisbury, MD, Matthew Turner and Vernon T. Dickens both of Windsor, VA; two grandchildren, William Thomas Turner IV and Ty Santana Turner both of Columbia, SC; a longtime friend, Olivia Shields; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 9, 2019 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Albert G.
