William Bernard Boothe

William “Bernard” Boothe, 77, of the 8100 block of Whaleyville Boulevard in Suffolk, departed this life on September 8, 2020. Born in Nansemond County, he was a retired machine operator for Kraft Foods (Planters). He leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Henry T. Boothe of Gates County, NC, two sisters Edith Slemp of Suffolk, Virginia and Clarice Roscoe (William) of Gatesville, NC, two sisters-in-law, Glozia Freeman of Suffolk, Virginia and Hannah Boothe of Windsor, NC, an honorary daughter, Ariel Langston of Suffolk, Virginia and a host of nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing at Crocker Funeral home on Friday, September 11 from 2-6 pm for family and friends. The family will be in attendance from 4-6pm. There will be a private homegoing service for immediate family due to COVID-19 mandates, on Saturday, September 12, 2020. Burial will follow in the Boothe family cemetery in Gates, NC.
