Warren McCoy Walker was born on September 2, 1942 in Nansemond County, Virginia. He was the son of the late George and Pauline Walker. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Gregory Walker and sister Doretha Royster. He married Patricia Eley on October 1, 1966 and they settled in Chuckatuck, VA. Warren found employment at the Newport News Shipyard as a Rigger and finished his career as a Nuclear Crane Operator at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. Warren was a hardworking man and a great provider for his family. As a child he worked with his father who was an Oysterman. He also became an Oysterman and eventually bought and operated his own boat which he name the "Nina D." Warren enjoyed working on cars, especially his 66 Mustang. He was very skllful and a mechanical genius who could fix almost anything. he was also known for his generous nature. Warren will be missed. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 53 years Patricia Walker, brother George W. Walker, Jr.,aunt, Mary Johnson, Aunt Eunice Willis; sons, Gregory Walker (Adrienne), Tyrone Crocker (Amy), Warren M. McCoy, Jr; daughters, Michelle Chapman, Nina Walker, Trina Foster(Patrick), Shanaysha Evans (Edwin), 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, many loving cousins, nephews, nieces, and extended family. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, at Mt. Lebanon C.O.G.I.C. Elder Michael Eaton. will deliver the message of comfort. He will be laid to rest in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
