Viola Mae Brown, 76, of Prospect Street, Wakefield transitioned Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Waverly Health and Rehab Center. She was the daughter of the late Ethel Mae Parham and James Zion Parham. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Earl Brown, brothers and sister, Shirlene Warren, Randolph Clary, Mary Clary and Herbert Lee Parham, Daughters, Sonya Brown and Aretha Brown; granddaughter, Tameka Brown and great grandson, Deron Brown, Jr. She attended L.P. Jackson School in Dendron, VA and retired in 1993 from Howard Johnson and hospitality house after 20 years of dedicated service. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Adrienne Brown of Surry; two sons, Eddie Parham of Wakefield and Earl Brown (Patricia) of Ivor.; two sisters, Pearline Price (Otis) of Hopewell and Vanessa Clary (Melvin) of Surry; two brothers, Bernard Parham (Elizabeth) of Lynchburg and Wayne Clary of Surry; 10 grandchildren, Tysheka Davis, Deron Brown, Tyron Brown, Ashley Brown, Le’von Brown, Ebony Newby, Erneisha Brown, DaQun Brown, Earlmeisha Brown and Devin Brown; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Pocahontas Temple Baptist Church 10234 Branch Street, Wakefield, VA.
