Victor Lamont LeCato fondly known as “Vic” was born to the late Homer B. LeCato and Laura Mae Evans-LeCato on October 5, 1976, in Nassawadox, VA. He peacefully departed this world on November 10, 2025, at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA after complications from an illness.

Vic began his education in Accomack County Public Schools and later in Suffolk Public Schools. He was employed with Lennox Parts and Plus up until his health declined in 2021. Vic spent most of his time listening to music, drawing, and being surrounded by his family and friends. Vic was especially close with the children of the family; they all naturally were drawn to his kind spirit. He enjoyed watching football. Whenever his beloved Philadelphia Eagles played, you could count on Vic cheering them on.

To know Vic, was truly to love him. He was proceeded in death by his mother and father, his maternal and paternal grandparents; two sisters Gertrude “Tina” Armstrong and Joyce A. Fleder; and two brothers, Vernell D. LeCato and Homer B. LeCato Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories, brothers, Thomas Evans of Lynchburg, VA; Samuel (Shelia) Fisher of Westover, MD; Adam (Wendy) Fisher, Sr. of Hallwood, VA; sisters, Vivian (LeRoy) Gibson of Dover, DE and his “sistermom” as he affectionally called her, Melissa (Michael) McDonald of Suffolk, VA. One aunt Maggie Williams of Nelsonia, Virginia uncles Donald Evans of Nelsonia, Virginia, Kenny Evans of Trenton, New Jersey, and Paige Evans, of

Florida. Vic leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Victor “Vic” LeCato was truly one of a kind and had a heart of gold. His time on Earth was short but meaningful to so many. He has definitely left his mark and will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all that knew him.
