Verdine W. Urquhart

Verdine W. Urquart was born in Ivor, Virginia on May 12, 1945. She was the oldest daughter of the late James and Ruth Lane. She departed this life on March 24, 2019. She enjoyed cooking and socializing with family and friends. She was a faithful member of Gilfield Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, served on the Deaconess, Missionary, Hospitality, and Women's Ministry. She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Regina Boone(Jobie), Stephanie Eley (Reginald), Robert Urquahart Jr.(special friend Sarah); two stepdaughters, Mattie Neaves (Michael), Bernita King; grandchildren, Shana Jones (Larry), Dana Hodges (Ronald), Devin Picott, Melinee Neaves, Shayla Eley, Brian Eley, Reginald Eley; great grandchildren, Riyan, Blair, Charli, Just, Jason; siblings, Edward Wellons, Gloria Stith, Carol Wellon (Rendell), Brenda Betts, Deborah Rice and Willie Lane. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends. A celebration of life will be noon Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Gilfield Baptist Church, Ivor.
