Veda Bowser

Veda Lavern Bowser was born on August 27, 1947 in Portsmouth, Va. She departed this life on January 13, 2024, at Nansemond Pointe, at the age of 76. Veda has held several jobs during the course of her life until her health began to fail.

Veda was extremely family oriented, and she loved people, her grandchildren, making people laugh, she also had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She was also known for her angelic voice at Ebeneezer Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Va., last but not least she loved her Pepsi Cola Sodas and her Bubble Gum.

Veda was preceded in death by her paternal mother Helen Riddick, Guardians Joe Green and Petteigrew Green, grandfather John Riddick, and son Bernard Bowser Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory her Aunt Delores Benton Harris of Portsmouth, Va., her 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, friends and a special dedicated care giver Angela Hillard and a Devoted friend of 30 years Annie Williams.

A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2024 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. She will be laid to rest in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
