Vance Roderick Boone

Mr. Vance Roderick Boone, 49, of 1235 Mt Vernon Ave, died March 5, 2023 at Riverside Doctor’s Hospital after a long-term battle with diabetes. A native of Portsmouth, he was the son of the previously deceased Vance Tuck Boone and Jeneal (Worrell) Boone. Roderick graduated from Manor High School in 1993. He enjoyed sports, shows about cars and wrestling in his spare time. He was an artist and music lover throughout his life and belonged to Victory Gospel Chapel, Portsmouth. He is survived by his brother, Geoffrey L. Boone and his wife Hillary A. Boone of Hampton, nieces Alyssa M. Boone of Norfolk, Brooke E. Boone, of Salt Lake City and nephew, Tyler J. Boone of Hampton. He adored his extended family and cherished his connection with them. A public viewing will be held 2:00-5:00pm, Friday, March 10, 2023 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, March 11, 2023 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Boone will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
