Travis Lamont Evans, 44, of Causey Avenue, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Monday, October 6, 2025. He was born on February 23, 1981 to Charlene Evans and George Hilton.

Travis, also known as "May Brown" and "Don Won" was reared in the Suffolk community and was educated within the Suffolk Public School System; having attended Nansemond River High School. Travis furthered his education by earning his GED.

Travis demonstrated exceptional skills in his craft as a Certified Commercial Floor Waxer. He also earned several additional certifications during his career such as: ServSafe Certification, Roofing Technician, Waterproofing, Powerwashing, Commercial Wall and Window Cleaner; and HVAC Technician.

Travis hobbies included listening and dancing to music. When it came to the kitchen, you couldn't beat his skills in preparing delicious meals and eating the fruits of his labor.

Travis' family and friends were the joy of his life. He was known as a protector; his humor and laughter could always brighten up a room.

Travis leaves to cherish his memories his fiancé' Tameka Pierce whom he referred to as "Stinka Pooh" and "Honey Bunches"; Bonus Daughter, Ta-Coreya Pierce; Mother, Charlene Evans Towns (Melvin Towns Sr.);Father, George Hilton; sisters, Charlotte Brown-Obrien (Deceased) Frank Obrien, Josephine Brown (Breion Reid), Angela Evans, Wanda Wynn-Harry (Jermaine Harry, Sr.), Maggie Wynn, Melvina Towns, Shanteka Glenn (Gregory Glenn) and Kimberly Chatman; brothers, Robert Towns, (Deceased) Tracey Towns, Grady Wynn, Robert Wilson, Melvin Towns, Jr., Rodney Cousar, Kendrick Murray, Tony Frierson, Bryant Dozier (Deceased) and Jamie Baxter (Deceased); maternal grandparents, Agnes Evans and Charlie Evans, Sr., (Both Deceased); paternal grandparents, Teresa Hilton and Henry Hilton (Both Deceased); aunts, Joyce Evans-McCoy (Deceased) Mervin McCoy, Sharon Nash (Reginald Nash), Ernestine Hilton, Helen Hilton, Shirley Hilton, Margaret Hilton (Deceased) and Gloria Hilton; uncles, Charlie Evans, Jr. (Deceased) Loretta Evans, Oscar Jones, Jr., Robert Evans (Deceased), John Hilton, Levan Hitlon (Frances Hilton), Michael Hilton, Eddie Hilton, and Melvin Hilton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Greater First Baptist Church Orlando. He will be laid to rest in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
