Theodore White

Theodore White, (“Rip”, as he was so affectionately called), 73, of Mineral Spring Road, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Tuesday, June 24, 2019 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was the son of the late Pearlie Ophelia Golden White and Joe David White.  “Rip” was preceded in death by his sister, Dora (“Sis”) White,  brothers, David Lawrence White, Robert Lee White, James Thomas White; and nephew, Elton (“Peter”) Poindexter Lee; and niece, Emma Banks. He attended Robinson-Gray, in Whaleyville. He leaves to cherish his memory a dedicated great niece, LaRhonda (Rodney) Armstrong-Bailey, of Virginia Beach; special friends, William (Mack) Watford, Bishop Viola Parker, Sheila Bailey; great nieces; and many cousins.  A celebration of life will be held noon, Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries. He will be laid to rest in Langston Family Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
