Sylvia Denise Parrish, better known as “Me-Me,” was born on April 8, 1959 to Eloise Parrish Harris and Frank Harris in Baltimore, Maryland. She transitioned on June 8, 2023. In her early years, she was raised in Baltimore, Maryland and spent her teenage years and adult life in Suffolk, Virginia. Me-Me loved her family. Her heart was full of love for all. She especially loved her only son, Dameon Tarell Parrish, grandson, Camontae Hawkins and two granddaughters, Tiffany Eloise and Da’mia Sylvia Parrish. She was the glue for her three sisters; Sharon, Lynn, and Pamela. She willingly helped raise her nieces and nephews, teaching all how to love and be grateful for God’s blessings. She loved bingo, playing the lottery, cooking and attending Balm East Church and Bethlehem. She is preceded in death by her loving mother Eloise Parrish Harris, her devoted father Frank Harris, her grandmother Elizabeth “Cherry” Williams, aunt Emma Lee Jones, aunt Mattie Jones, and niece Tiffany Claiborne. She leaves to cherish her only and devoted son Dameon Tarell Parrish, her beautiful granddaughters Tiffany and Da’Mia Parrish, sisters Sharon (Ronnie) Holt, Lynn Wright (Greg,) and Pamela (Stephen) Ruffin. Extended sisters, Wanda (Bill) Brown, Kathy Bazemore and a host of devoted cousins, nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held 2 p.m.-7 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2023 at Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Balm Church-East Campus. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
