Steven Wayne Mizell

Steven “Steve” Wayne Mizell, 55, of Suffolk entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 14, 2022. He was a native of Suffolk, Virginia born to the late Jonah B. Mizell, Sr. and Priscilla J. Mizell. He is also preceded in death by his son, Stevon D. Harris. Steve was a loving and caring father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters: Rysheka Chapman and Travonya Harris; two sons: Decarlos Harris and Jay’Don Mizell; a devoted friend, Benita Harris; three sisters: Mary Copeland, Janette Mizell, and Precena Wiggins (Virgil); two brothers: Milton Mizell, Sr. (Pamela) and Jonah Mizell, Jr.; five granddaughters: Nevaeh Harris, Kartier Chapman, Myangel Harris, Mariah Harris, and Paris Harris; two grandsons: Decarlos Harris, Jr. and Pablo Harris; a Goddaughter, Shakira Allen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A celebration of life will be held 1:30pm, Monday, October 24, 2022, at Greater First Baptist Church Orlando, 600 Factory Street, Suffolk, VA. He will be interred at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
