Stephanie Denise Jones

In loving memory, we celebrate the life of Stephanie Denise Jones, age 56, of Suffolk, Virginia, who peacefully transitioned on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Sentara Obici Hospital.

Born on February 2nd, 1970, in Columbia, South Carolina, to the cherished union of Mary Helen Hill and Cornelius Williams Sr., Stephanie was a devoted mother and wife, embodying love and strength throughout her life. A proud graduate of Eau Claire High School in 1988, she pursued her passion for healthcare through numerous courses in the medical field. Her journey took her to Jacksonville, Florida, where she met her beloved husband, Peter Jones. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family, welcoming three wonderful children into their lives.

In 2001, the Navy brought Stephanie and her family to the Hampton Roads area, where she dedicated over 20 years to her work as a Pharmacy Technician across various pharmacies. Known far and wide for her radiant smile and warm conversations, she forged connections with everyone she encountered, from family and friends to strangers.

A woman of deep spirituality, Stephanie cultivated an inner connection to a higher power that guided her daily. She embraced life fully, finding joy in exercising, engaging in home projects, enjoying science fiction movies, and traveling with her family, all while leaving a legacy of love and kindness.

Stephanie’s memory will forever be cherished by her husband, Peter Jones; her children, Ishmael Williams, Israel Denson, and Iman Jones; her brother, Kenneth Williams; her sister, Lisa Patterson; her aunts, Ernestine O’Berry (Sam O’Berry) and Doris Williams; her uncle, Ernest Williams; and her sister-in-law, Teresa L. Williams. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Cornelius Williams Jr. and Reggie Williams.

A memorial service to honor her remarkable life will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home.
