Silas Pearson, Jr.

To everything is a season, and a time for every purpose under the Heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 Silas Pearson, Jr., 79, was born in Suffolk, Virginia to the late Silas Pears and Martha Vick Pearson. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Nannie Jones, Bernice Jenkins, Reeve Thomas, Dorthy Mae Outland and Martha Ann Welch; brothers, Willie Pearson and Clayton Pearson. Silas worked for the Coca Cola Plant and Birdsong Peanut Factory until he retired. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted niece, Charlotte Jenkins; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
