Shirley Ann Harper, 71, of 402 Pleasant Street, Suffolk, Virginia entered into eternal peace at her residence on October 14, 2023.

She was a native of Isle of Wight County and was the daughter of the late Sophia and Garland Baker, and widow of Joe Edward Harper. She was predeceased in death her one sister, Parnell "Gale" Gray.

Shirley's daughter Teresa was her pride and joy and her love for her family was unwavering. During her leisure time, she enjoyed watching WWE Smackdown and completing crossword puzzles.

She leaves a legacy, love, and precious memories of her one and only daughter Teresa Ann Copeland (Alonzo). Three grandchildren; Tyrese, Alonzo, and Tiesha; one great-grandchild, Ky'Mere, who blessed us the the same day we lost our Beloved.

She is also survived by two sisters who share decades of memories and love; Truemillia Booker (Aurther "Jerry" Booker) and Christine Booker (Clarence Booker), both of Smithfield, VA. A host of loving nieces and nephews; Billy, Yvonne, Nicole, Tennille, and Beatrice and 19 great nieces and nephews.

A public viewing will be held 4:00-7:00pm, Monday, October 23, 2023 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. She will be laid to rest in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
