Sharece Marie McNealy was born to Edward George and Arnetta McNealy Chatman on June 29, 1989 in Far Rockaway, New York. (Her father preceded her in death).
Reci started school in Queens, New York and later moved to Mobile, AL with her family where she graduated from high school in 2007. She got her first job at Hardee's where she worked until she was unable.
Although, Reci faced many challenges with her health, she lived her life to the fullest with a smile and grace. Reci was determined to become a mother (against the advice of her doctor) Reci gave birth to a healthy daughter.
Reci never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her smile lit up a room and gave joy and she received christ at an early age.
Reci leaves to cherish her memories and smile a loving daughter, Arnecia McNealy a devoted and loving mother, Arnetta McNealy of Portsmouth, VA, four brothers, Edward (Shrema) Chatman, Queens, New York, Brandon (Ava) Mc Nealy, Valley Stream, New York, Gregory (Krista) Chatman, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Charles Chatman, Portsmouth, VA, her fiance Garrelle Walker Portsmouth, VA; (3) Aunts, Loretta McNealy Portsmouth, VA, Marie Chandler and Elizabeth (Gilbert) Broome, all of Suffolk, VA, two uncles Bernie (Cha) Mobile, Alabama, John (Louise) Chatman, godparents Gizelle Wharton and Jesse Jackson both of Queens, New York, 8 nieces and 6 nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.
A viewing will be held 2-4 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2026 at Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family has entrusted Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. with professional services rendered with dignity, compassion and care.
