Shanequa Cimmone Gibson

Shanequa Gibson, 33, of North Street, Suffolk transitioned Monday, November 12, 2018, at her residence.  She was the daughter of Shirley L. Wood and Leroy Goodman. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Hattie Beatrice Deloatch and her grandfather, James Deloatch.She was a graduate of Lake Taylor High School and was previously employed at Smithfield Packing.She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Za'niqua Michele Gibson of Suffolk, VA; son, Elijah Cortez Gibson of Suffolk, VA; mother, Shirley L. Wood; father, Leroy Goodman; four sisters, Laressa Nicole Moore (Will) of Hampton, VA, Yolanda Bryant (Charles) of Suffolk, VA, Cassandra Jackson of Chesapeake, VA, and Stephanie Smith of Norfolk; three brothers, Leroy Goodman, Jr. (Rhonda) of Virginia Beach, Bobbie Goodman (Lareika) of Suffolk, VA; and Mark Askew (Tonya) of Atlanta, GA; two aunts, Iva Deloatch and Beatrice Watkins; godfather, Randyll Scott; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.A celebration of life will be held noon Friday, November 23, 2018, at Rising St. James P.H.C.
