Selena F. Copeland

Selena F. Copeland accepted her call from labor to reward on Monday, December 23, 2019 at her home. Born in Nansemond County ot the late James T. Faulk, Sr. and Carthene Rodgers Faulk. She was raised in a family that valued moral decency, work ethics,and Christian principles. She worked as a barber in Suffolk and Portsmouth for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed fellow shipping with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by husbands Pleza A. Counts and Clifton Copeland; seven brothers and five sisters. Selena is survived by her son, Shelby "Rusty" Countys (Calvine); five grandchildren, Kelly Johnson, Oman Eure, Miriam Brynum, Suray Brynum, and Robert Parker, Jr.; three great grandchildren, Kaira Brynum, Marquia Brynum,a nd Antwan Brynum; three sisters, Odelia Hortillosa, Louvena White, and Elsie Milteer; two brothers, Curtis Milteer (Sarah) and Eugene Milteer (Doretha); sister-in-law, Doris Folk. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, December 29, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Ararat Christian Church, 1860 Airport Road, Suffolk, VA 23434.
