Ruby Lee Davis

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 1, 2026, our dearly beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and cherished loved one, Ruby Lee Davis, peacefully answered the call of God. She departed her earthly home and entered into eternal rest, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Ruby was a dedicated and hardworking woman who faithfully served for more than 20 years at Naval Air Station Norfolk. She took pride in her work and in providing for and caring for her family. She believed in working hard, loving her family, and doing whatever she could for the people she loved. Her strength, love, and presence brought something special to the lives of those around her and will be deeply missed.

Ruby was preceded in death by her brothers, Luther Ricks and Owen Ricks Jr.; her son, Jeffery Lee; and her grandson, TraQuinn Giles.

Ruby leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory her sons, Angelo Lee (Jill) and Julius Davis (Nikia); her sister, Cynthia Ricks-Luster (Peter); her grandchildren, Taquina Smith, Jaynise Smythe, Tajanique Lee, and Jayla Davis; a host of great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the love Ruby gave will never fade. Her memory will live on through the family she loved so dearly, the lives she touched, and the countless moments that will forever be treasured.

A public viewing will be held 2:00-5:00pm, Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 1:00pm, Friday, September 11, 2026 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. She will be laid to rest in at Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family has entrusted Crocker Funeral Home, Inc with services rendered with dignity, compassion, and care.
