Roslyn Bernice Scott, 63, peacefully transitioned at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia on March 22, 2022. Roslyn Bernice Scott was born May 27, 1958 in Suffolk, Virginia to Jean Scott (Patsy) and Vernon Harrel. She was raised by Bernice Pearce. Roslyn graduated from Suffolk High School in 1976 then furthered her education at Norfolk State University where she majored in Special Education. She then became a Special Education Teacher for 28 years; two years in Chase City, VA and 26 years in Portsmouth, VA she loved reading, crafting, and listening to music in her past time. Life would seem to short to many but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of her existence far exceeds the quality of her time in which one lives. Her loving heart and beautiful smile brought so much joy to those who knew her. "I need you to know" I need you to know and understand that everything I've done is a part of God's plan my smile my laughter and talents were gifts from the most high I lived a good life despite struggles in the tears that I may have cried I need you to know and understand that I was a woman with good intentions and a huge heart and I always intended to finish what I start know that I fought the good fight please know and understand God had the upper hand I am Roslyn B. Scott my journey is complete my race is won. She is survived by her father, Vernon Harrel (Debra) of N.C; brother, Lester Williams (Tawanda); three nephews, three nieces; five aunts; one great aunt; two uncles; a special caregiver (Little Man) Alton Clark a host of cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert L. Clark, Sr. and Alzerta Clark. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022 in the Melvin J.
