Rose Ann Valentine

On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, Mrs. Rose A. Valentine was called home to be with the Lord. She was born April 22, 1948 to the late Garvey Cross and Rosa Mayes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonsa Valentine.

Rose was educated in the public schools of Suffolk, Va., and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1966. Rose graduated from The Johns Hopkins Schools of Medical Imaging in Baltimore, Maryland in 1970, as a Radiology Technologist.

Rose retired from the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Va. Following over 20 years of dedicated service to the Radiology Department.

Rose gave her life to Christ at an early age and faithfully served the Lord, at East End Baptist Church. Where she has held membership over 50 years. She had served over 20 years as a Leader of Special care ministry, a member of the Disciple U women/s class, and a member of the Tuesday morning bible study class.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her Cousin, Mrs. Juanita Ferguson, Her cousin Deborah Bright, Her cousin, Ernest E. Ferguson Jr., of Virginia Beach, Va. Her cousin-in-law Dr. Deanna Cross of Savannah, Ga. A host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, noon, at Greenlawn Memorial  Gardens Cemetery.  Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
