Rosa L. Wiggins

Rosa L. Wiggins, 77, of Whaleyville Blvd, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Friday, September 17, 2021 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was born on October 9, 1943 to the late Ernest Willie Wiggins and Alice Nell Jordan in Nansemond County, VA. In addition to her parents, Rosa was preceded in death by her loving husband, Russell Lee Wiggins. Rosa was educated in the Suffolk Public School System, having attended Southwestern, in the Holland section of the city. She was also a faithful and dedicated member of Palm Tree Baptist Church in Whaleyville. Rosa tirelessly worked in the vineyard for the Lord, having served as a member of the church's Senior Choir and diligently taking care of the shepherd of the church as a Pastor's Aide. Rosa leaves to cherish her precious memories two daughters, Sandy Hall (Glen Walden) of Suffolk, VA and Chanelle Banks (Ansyn) of Louisville, KY; two sisters, Frances Artis and Beulah Wiggins (George) both of Suffolk, VA; three grandchildren, Jon, Julian, and Avarey; five sister-in-laws, Jean Riddick, Sylvia Wiggins, Mary Wiggins, Dorothy Wiggins, and Sheryl Wiggins; a brother-in-law, Clifton Wiggins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
