Ronnie Waverly Jones, of Holland, Virginia, entered eternal rest on April 1, 2026. He was born on July 21, 1980, in Suffolk, Virginia, to Melvin and Naomi Jones.
Ronnie was employed with KCA Logistics and was known by many as a dependable, hardworking man. In his free time, he enjoyed watching and playing baseball, farming, and spending time with his family and loved ones. Ronnie had a special gift for fixing things-earning him the reputation as "Mr. Fix-It" in his community. If something was broken, Ronnie could fix it-even if he had to Google It. He was also known as a dedicated contractor who took pride in his work.
Ronnie loved deeply. He cherished his family his church family, and anyone in need. He lived life to the fullest each day and never hesitated to lend a helping helping hand. His children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart-he would bend over backwards for them and always showed up when they needed him.
Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory his children, Shaliyah Jones (Sherika), Saniya Jones (Shemicka); and his beloved grandchildren, Ny'Year Jones, Markel Jones, Zymir Jones, and Khali Jones. He is also survived by his sisters, LaBonnie Jones (William) and Elsie Jones-Beamon (Terrence); his nephews, Carlos Jones, Michael Chamblee, Breon Stocks, and Melvin Chamblee; his nieces, Felicia Chambers and Ny'Kera Johnson; and a host of aunts-Clarice Boone, Daisy Rush, Diana Jones, Vanessa Jones, Annette Chamblee, Linda Wiggins, Tammy Mount, and Mary Barnes. He also leaves behind great aunts, Peggy Goulet and Rita Brinkley. God-mother Joyce Pope; god sisters, Annette Jordan; god brother, Johnnie Pope, Ronald Pope and Antwan Pope; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and a bonus brother, Fred.
Ronnie was preceded in death by grandparents, Clayton Futrell, Maxie Wiggins, SR., Hazel Turner, Waverly Russell, Elsie Jones, Uncles; Maxie Wiggins, Jr., William Futrel and Solomon Jones, Aunts, Shirley, Mae Jones, Ella McBride, and Barbara Jean Johnson.
A viewing will be held 12-7 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held noon, Friday, April 10, 2026 at Zion Christian Church, 5200 Quaker Drive, Suffolk. He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. Professional services with dignity, compassion and care have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
