Ronald Anthony Hyman, affectionately known as "Poochie," passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Born in Suffolk, VA, on June 23, 1956, to Major and Thelma Hyman. He attended Suffolk Public Schools, where he graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. Shortly after he enlisted and served in the United States Army, serving as a Communication Equipment Operator was honorably discharged at the end of his career. He continued to work, picking up different trades and skills, until retiring in 2023. Ronald's hobbies included laughing and joking with friends, and reminiscing about past times. He had an avid love for nature and science-related topics in which he loved to talk about, along with watching Old Westerns and Sports on the weekends.
He is survived by his mother, Thelma, sister: Jennifer, brothers: Breon, William Alton (Renita), Charles, Elton, Richard (Luvenia), daughters: Stephonda, Tabetha, Chelsa, and son: Cameron. A host of Several nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
A visitation with family will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
