It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roberta Edmonds, aged 68, who peacefully transitioned on December 2, 2025, at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation Center in South Suffolk, VA. Born to the late Alberta "Ada" Savage and Joseph J. Savage, Roberta was a cherished daughter whose warmth and love touched everyone she encountered.

In addition to her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence Edmonds, as well as five dear sisters: Ethel Mae Silver, Gloria Wright, Mary Ellen Savage, Sandra Yvette Savage, and Ernestine Johnson; two brothers, James and Vernon Savage; and her niece, Latoya Savage. Their memories will forever be held close to her family’s heart.

Roberta's journey in education began within the Suffolk Public School System, where she laid the foundation for a life characterized by love and connection. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, she radiated exuded warmth and kindness. An extroverted soul, Roberta brought joy to any gathering, and her vibrant personality endeared her to many. She had a special fondness for watching daytime soap operas and the heartwarming stories presented by the Hallmark Channel, which reflected her love for storytelling and connection.

Roberta leaves behind a legacy filled with love and cherished memories. She is survived by her son, Vincent (Alecia) Savage of Gates, N.C.; two granddaughters, Aicela and Sereniti Savage, who brought immense joy to her life; her sister, Lisa Savage of Virginia Beach, VA; and her brothers, Carl (Alvonda) Savage of Glen Allen, VA, and Curtis Savage of Suffolk, VA. Roberta will be deeply missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom were touched by her generous spirit.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the funeral home. A celebration of Roberta's remarkable life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025, in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, followed by her peaceful resting at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
