Robert Lee White

Robert Lee White, 81, of Golden Hill Road, Elberon, Virginia received his Crown of Life from our God on April 17, 2020. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and faithful friend. Robert Lee White was a native of Surry County, VA until God called him home. He was the son of the late James H. White and Ethel M. White of Surry County, VA. Robert was a faithful member and deacon of Mt. Calvary The Holy Church of God, Smithfield, VA. He attended Surry County High School. He retired from Newport News Shipbuilding after 43 years of dedicated service. Robert was a devoted provider for his family and served the Lord faithfully. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Azurea White, 53 years of marriage; also by Devoted Daughters: Comarth Saunders – Hampton, VA and Corine Simmons (Ronald) – Bronx, NY; Sisters: Lillian Wilkes – Columbus, GA, Betty Whitmore and Sarah White, Glen Allen, VA; Brother-in-Laws: James Robinson (Cecilia) and Omega Robinson (Linda) – Suffolk, VA, and Timothy Robinson (Willa) – Newport News, VA; Sister-in-Laws: Luefras Robinson – Fredericksburg, VA and Argi Godwin – Hampton, VA; Goddaughter and family: Lorraine, Wilmon, Lauren, Andrew and Wilmon 4th Lee; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; Predeceased Siblings: James W. White and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Christian Homes Cemetery, Isle of Wight, VA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, VA on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.
