Robert Earl Boone

Robert Earl Boone, 84, transitioned Friday, September 26, 2025 at his home. He was the son of the late George Peter Gilliam and the late Willie Mae Gilliam. He was born by his biological mother the late Frances E. Armstrong on May 1, 1941. Also preceeded in death, bonus daughter; Lue Brenda Stagg, bonus son; Stacie Walker, 3 grandchildren; Shari Stagg, Taylor Skeeter, and Derek Bennett, 2 brothers; Bennie Boone and Richard Armstrong, and a sister; Lola Armstrong.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife; Mearl Boone, Suffolk, Va., daughters; Angela Evans, Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Pamela Boone Skeeter, Suffolk, Va., Pauline Ralph (Steve) Suffolk, Va., Patrina Kamar (Sekou), Florence, N.J., Mary Edwards, Jacksonville, Florida, Bernadette Bailey, Suffolk, Va., bonus sons; Ralph Stagg Newport News, Va.,Luther Stagg (Elizabeth), Suffolk, Va., Michael Stagg, Suffolk Va., Duane Walker, Carrolton, Va., Joe Turner, Suffolk, Va., Donald Turner, Fredericksburg, Va., sister; Rosa Lee Armstrong, brothers; Jimmy Armstrong, Charles Armstrong, Tommy Armstrong both of Suffolk, Va.; 34 grandchildren, 7 great grand children, 4 great, great grand children, 2 god children, 3 sister-in-law, 4 brother-in-law, 1 aunt; Bernice Nicholson, Hacken Sack, N.J. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and bestfriend; Clarence Eley.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 3p-7p.m.  A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. October 9, 2025 at Christian Home Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
