On October 19th Mr. Robert Lee Brown departed this life in his home on Nansemond Parkway. Robert was born October 17, 1958 in Nansemond County to Queen Brown and the late Willie Brown Sr.
He worked for Meadow Brooke Memorial helping dig graves and painting the chambers inside the Mausoleum. He also was employed with Blair Brothers driving trucks. He had a passion for doing lawn care maintenance which he did for many years.
Robert was predeceased by his father Willie Brown Sr, sister Elizabeth Evans, and two brothers William Wood, andLarry Brown.
He is survived by his Mother Queen Brown, two brothers. Vernon Brown of Suffolk, Va and Willie Brown (Monica) of Philadelphia, PA. Four sisters Dorthy Giles (John) of Windsor, Va. Cheryl Powell, Deborah Bazemore, and Elaine Wilkins (Willie) all of Suffolk VA. His outgoing spirit will be missed by his Aunt Irene Gaynor of Portsmouth Va and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of cousins.
A celebration of life will be held noon, Tuesday, October 28, 2025 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
