Robert Leon Boone, Sr.

Robert Leon Boone (Robboy), 80 died at his residence on November 27, 2021. He was the son of the late William Boone and Maggie Boone. He was preceded in death by his brothers James Boone, Andrew Boone, Otis Boone, and one sister Alberta Baton. He was a painter at Newport News Shipyard for 41+ years until his retirement. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Judy M. Boone, two daughters, Julie Butler (Marvin), Shelia Hill (Brian), and one son Robert Boone, Jr., all of Suffolk, one brother Joseph M. Boone, one sister Delma Lassiter, all of Suffolk, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three sister-in-laws, Merline Faulk (Linwood), Mary Wiggins (Lloyd), Viola Whitley (Henry) all of Suffolk, one brother-in-law Carlton Baton (Linda) of Boston Massachusetts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A celebration of life will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2021 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. Mr. Boone will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
