Richard Major 63, of Avast Way Chesapeake, VA transitioned Saturday, November 26, 2022 at his residence. He was the son of the late Doris Major and John Robert Major. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Robert Lewis Major, Larry Major and his sister Carol Major Woodson. He was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and An excellent bass player. He enjoyed watching his favorite team The Washington Redskins and Sanford & Son with his brother Dallas Major. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister Doris Major Allen of Suffolk, VA four brothers, Dallas Major, John Major, Tony Major, and Leroy Weaver all of Suffolk, Va. A special Niece Vencellia Major of Suffolk, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A public viewing will be held 2:00 - 5:00pm, Monday, December 5, 2022 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. A celebration of life will be held 11:30am, Tuesday, December 6, 2022 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
