Richard C. Patterson

Richard C. Patterson, 65, of Suffolk, Virginia, passed away on November 11, 2018.  Born in Bronx, New York he was the son of the late Mamie and Richard A. Patterson.  Preceded in death by his two sisters, Helen Williams and Evelyn Mims, left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 46 years, Lelia A. Patterson, two sons Phillip L. Patterson (Issi`), Richard R. Patterson; two daughters Angela Johnson (Darnell), Amy Patterson (Ariane); six grandchildren Dominique, Chardonnay, Kenan, D’Jannay, Jazmine, and Andreya; one great granddaughter Taliyah; one sister Sarita Patterson, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.  He was a dedicated employee of Vitex Packaging for over 30 years. At the time of his passing, he had been a diligent employee of Hampton Roads Transit for over eight years. Richard loved his family and will forever be missed.A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m.Friday, November 16, 2018 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1351 White Marsh Road, Suffolk, Virginia 23434. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the Kings Fork Community Center located at 1600 Kings Fork Road, Suffolk, Virginia 23434.
