On Wednesday, November 9, 2022, our all- wise God called our loving father, brother, Uncle and friend, Reginald E. Boone, Sr., known to many as Moose, home to his eternal rest. He was born January 18, 1950, to the late Junius A. Boone, Sr. and Gracie V. Boone of Suffolk, Virginia. Reginald attended John F. Kennedy High School in Suffolk, VA. Later, he joined the workforce as a forklift driver and eventually retired from Commonwealth Cold Storage in Suffolk, VA. As a young boy, Reginald became a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in the Buckhorn section of Suffolk, VA where he continued his membership. Reginald was predeceased by his sister, Ida P. Jones and his brother Junius A. Boone, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy of love, his son Reginald E. Boone Jr. and his daughter Charmaine N. Boone both of Suffolk; four brothers: Lorinza T. Boone (Shirley) and Kevin N. Knight (Valerie) all of Suffolk, and Nathaniel H. Boone of Chesapeake and Calvin H. Boone (Hazel) of Richmond; four sisters: Phyllis N. Alston, Khadijah Abdullah, and Jacqueline Boone all of Chesapeake, Najwa Speight of Suffolk; three God Grandchildren Talia A. Watkins, Taniyah M. Beale, Caleb J. Peggins all of Suffolk; one aunt, Mary V. Boone of Windsor, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A viewing will be held 1-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2022 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 12:00 noon, Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Piney Grove Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest in Meadow Brook Memorial Gardens.
