Regina Penelope Artis

Regina Penelope Artis, was born January 5, 1958 to Kathleen Wiggins and Joe Louis Bagley. Surrounded by her family, she peacefully slipped into her Father's arms, on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her mother. Regina attended Southwestern High School and was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. She has worked with Concordia Transitional Care-Nansemond Pointe for 18 years and QVC for 12 years. Left to cherish Regina's legacy and memory is her father, Joe Louis Bagley (Gloria); life partner, Alfred Lee Brown of Sufolk; daughter, Katherine Artis of Suffolk; three sons, Keshaun L. Artis, Raivon L. Artis (Shatana), and Kevon J. Artis, all of Suffolk; goddaughter, T'keymah Artis of Suffolk; two sisters, Dianne Artis Paul and Gail Artis; four brothers, Mitchell Artis, Louis Bagley (LaVerne), Tony Bagley (Denise), and Robert Bagley (Linda); nine grandchildren, Brian, Malik, Julian, Jaylen, Ka'Miyyah, Jordan, Kacei, Carter, and one unborn grandson Dior; two devoted friends, Sharon (Yvette) Hicks and Delphine Warren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. A visitation with family will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will take place 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries, 307 County Street, Suffolk, VA 23434. Dr. George Smith will deliver the message of comfort. She will be laid to rest in Laurel Hill United Church Cemetery. 8001 S. Quay Road, Suffolk, VA. 23437.
