Raymond Wright

Raymond Wright, 89, of Pine Street, Suffolk, VA transitioned Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Autumn Care of Suffolk. He was predeceased by three sons, Herbert Jones, Sylvester Arrington, and Percy Arrington. He was born on January 27, 1932 to the late Virginia Wright in Suffolk, VA. During his career, he was employed with Smithfield Packing for many years, before retiring as a supervisor. Left to cherish his precious memories are his loving wife, Alma B. Wright of Suffolk, VA; children, Barbara Graves (Dwight, Jerry Baker, Donna Arrington, Beth Arrington Faye Arrington all of Suffolk, VA, Sylvester Joyner (Tonya) of Carson, CA, Ronald Arrington (Gwendolyn) of Windsor, VA, Lester Arrington (Theresa), Wesley Arrington (Bettina), Victor Arrington (Terrie), Carter Arrington (Sandra) all of Suffolk,VA; three sisters, Evelyn Norman, Virginia Williams, and Ella Collins; three brothers, Wallace Wright, Henry Phillips, and Gary Phillips; 32 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins, and friends. A viewing will be held 1:00 p.m.-3:00p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2021. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2021 in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
