Ray Lonzer Morris

Ray Lonzer Morris, 68, of Constance Road, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Friday, July 19,2019 at his residence. He was the son of the late Alice Morris and Durwood Boone. He was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and retired in 1996 as a Brick Mason. He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Lonzer Ray Morris of Providence, RI; sister, Betty Wright of Newport News, VA; nine brothers, Calvin Morris of Newport News, VA, Dennis Morris of Middletown, NY, Timothy Wooden of Buffalo, NY, Ronald Boone, Clois Boone, Charles Boone, Gregory Boone, Joseph Holland, and Reginald Holland all of Virginia; two grandchildren; uncle, Johnny Boone of Suffolk, VA; two aunts, Nita Norfleet and Tessa Plummer both of Suffolk, VA. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2019 at Rising St. James Church, 201 N. 6th Street, Suffolk, Virginia. Rev. Robert A. Wilkins will deliver the message of comfort.
