Phillip Deallo "CHAMP" Goston

Mr. Phillip Deallo "Champ" Goston, 39, of Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Friday, September 4, 2020. He was born in Frankfurt, Germany to Deborah Goston. "Champ" was a humble man with a heart of gold and a smile that would light up any room. His unassuming demeanor often took the form of kindness and generosity through his willingness to help others. he was hard working and dedicated with unwavering love for his family and friends. Champ enjoyed spending quality time with his son and nephews. He was employed by Smithfield Packing for many years, then later on to Newport New Shipbuilding as a Shopfitter for six years. "Champ" is preceded in death by his brother, Terencio Goston, great grandmother, Tella Pratt, grandfather, Johnny Goston. He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy to his mother, Deborah Pires (Andre) of Ocean Springs, MS; Father, Willie Lewis of Suffolk, VA; sons, Cayenne, Dreheim both of Surry, DeAndre (Brea) of Carrollton, VA; brothers, Gregory, Aloyisus and Peatrior-Cooter (China) of Suffolk, VA, Keith of Ocean Springs, MS; sister, Gabriel of Ocean Springs, MS; special lady, Sylena; nephews, Johan, Kasan and Tristan; niece, Anna; maternal grandmother, Earlene Goston; a host of aunt, uncles, cousins, and an abundance of friends among them devoted Rashad Warren and Calvin Brown. A viewing will be held 1-7 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2020 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. There will be a private celebration of life.
