Pearleen Horton Walker departed this life at her home and entered our heavenly father's kingdom on August 30, 2021. She was born to the late Zack Horton and the late Marie Wilson Horton on December 23, 1930, in Nansemond County, Virginia. After devoting 30 years of service to her patients, many of whom she thought of as friends she retired in 1984. In 1975 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Pearleen married her loving husband Willie C. Walker, a United States Air Force veteran. During their 30 years of marriage, after they both retired, they moved back to Suffolk and purchased a home in the Turlington Woods section of Suffolk, where Pearleen was an active member of Oxford United Methodist Church. Pearleen enjoyed art, loved reading, and was an avid traveler, having visited Greece, the Caribbean, Israel, Africa and Canada to name a few.
