Pearlean Bynum

Pearlean Bynum at the age of 89 years old, entered into eternal rest on October 7, 2022 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was the daughter of the late James and Lenora Smith. She was born on February 16, 1933 in (Nansemond County), Suffolk, VA. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Church, where she sang in the senior choir and served on the usher board. Pearlean was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Frank Bynum, a brother, Lynn Edward Smith, three sons; Frank Bynum, Jr., James Bynum, and Albert Bynum, one granddaughter, Tiffany Bynum. She leaves to cherish her memories three sons; Andrew Bynum, Ricky Bynum, and Darrell Bynum, three daughters; Lenora Jones, Deborah Riddick (Major) and Mary Speight and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022 at St. Mary's C.O.G.I.C., 3637 Nansemond Parkway, Suffolk, VA 23435. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
