Patricia Ann Artis

Patricia Ann Artis, 59, of Leafwood Road, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was the daughter of Thelma Artis and Richard Artis. She was preceded in death by her brother, Melvin Artis. She attended John F. Kennedy High School and was employed with the City of Suffolk at Oakland Elementary School for 26 faithful and dedicated years. She enjoyed working in her crossword book. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Lonnie Artis; two daughters, Laura Artis Giles (Michael) and Renee' Harper; three sisters, Rachel Ricks, Sundra Artis and Brenda Artis; brother, Calvin Artis; two grandchildren, Michael Giles, Jr and Deja Miles; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2021 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
