Mr. Otis Harril White was born in Norfolk, Virginia on January 16, 1946, the son of the late Mr. Collins White and the late Mrs. Mae Anna White. He grew up in Suffolk, Virginia. He met his wife to be Rose White in 1974. They later married on July 27, 1985. He departed this life on May 21, 2021, at a rehabilitation healthcare center in Clinton, MD. Mr. White was educated in the public schools of Suffolk, Virginia. He moved to New Haven, Connecticut in 1962. He was employed at Winchester Gun Factory. He also worked at Pratt & Whitney. His final place of employment in Connecticut was at H.B. Ives Manufacturing. Mr. White and his family moved to Forestville, Maryland in 1987. Later moving to Suitland, Maryland, which was his place of residence until his passing. He was a former employee of Georgetown University. He was a certified HVAC technician. He worked in maintenance engineering, repairing plumbing fixtures and air conditioning units in large apartment buildings. In his spare time, he did home improvement projects for clients, friends, and family members. He worked until he was placed on disability. He loved screaming at the television rooting for the Washington Football Team (formerly known as the Redskins). Win or lose, he was devoted to his football team. He also loved attending Grandparent’s Day at his granddaughter’s school each year. He is preceded in death by his mother: Mae Anna White; Father: Collins White, Sr.; Brother: Collins White, Jr.; and Brother: Phillip White, Sr.; Mother-in-law: Annie Gause; Brother-in-law: James Henry Bagley; and Sister-in-law: Phyllis White. He leaves to cherish his loving memories ~His wife: Rose White of Suitland, Maryland; his two sons: Rayford Riddick of Baltimore, Maryland; Harold ‘Shaun’ Little (Na-Na) of Paradise Island, Maryland; two sisters: Betty Jean Bagley of Suffolk, Virginia; Juanita Gamble (Clarence) of Suffolk, Virginia; Brother: Richard White (Iris) of Brooklyn, New York; Stepdaughter: Danielle Davis (Frank) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; Stepson: Duane Hemingway of Darlington, South Carolina; one sister-in-law: Nadine Dozier of Marion, South Carolina; one brother-in-law; Anthony Williams (Tiffany) of Brandywine, Maryland; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren who he cherished with all his heart; Autum Davis and Duane Hemingway, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held noon, Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Boothe Family Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
