Nell P. Bowers

Nell Palmer Bowers,89, of Leyte Avenue, Chesapeake, Virginia earned her wings on Saturday, July 1, 2023. She was born in Suffolk, Virginia on April 29, 1934 to the late Jasper and Candress Palmer. Nell was a Elementary School Teacher and she enjoyed teaching. She was a member of Laurel Hill Church-Suffolk, VA. She is survived by her daughter and caretaker, Darnell; grandson, Kenyatta (E); granddaughter, Jamelia (Chanell); great-granddaughter, Kayla; twin great-grandsons, Andre and Aaden and a host of relatives and friends. From Darnell, a special "Thank you" to her dear friend Gregory (Mike) Drummond, caring for her when I wasn't able and for all her goodies. I want to also thank everyone who have helped me along my journey with mom. Special Thanks to Legacy Hospice for their excellent care. A visitation with family will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2023 in the Melvin J.
