Nathaniel "B" Kindred of Suffolk, VA returned to his Heavenly Home on Monday, May 6, 2024 at the age of 77 years old. He was born on June 11, 1946 in Suffolk, Va. to the late Addie Lee Kindred and John Earl Kindred. He was a member of King's Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as a faithful Deacon until his health began to decline. He was employed by Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding where he retired in 2008 after 40 years of service. He enjoyed watching Western's, taking rides in the country especially during peanut season, peanuts were his favorite while listening to Quartet Gospel Music. He was a loving person who had a big heart and was willing to help in anyway he could. His favorite scripture was Isaiah 35:10... Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can not heal.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife of 55 years, Anna Kindred. His one and only devoted daughter Teresa Baker, his only granddaughter Laquita Baker and one great granddaughter who was the apple of his eye Shamyra Lewis that he called "Lil Mess". He had one deceased grandson, Corey Baker. he had three godchildren that he loved as his own; Erica Ricks, Zenaida Porter and Walter Brook Jr.
He is also survived by his siblings which consist of two brothers, Bishop John H. Kindred (Bettie), Earl T. Kindred (Mamie) of Suffolk, VA. Two sisters, Ernestine K. Ricks (Edward) of Suffolk, VA and Ruth Diane Kindred of Providence RI. He also had two deceased brother and sister, James Kindred and Jesse Mae Nichols.
He will be missed by his childhood buddy Deacon Johnny Morris, special friend Morris Duck Sr. and special friend Alphonso Barnes and many nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and his shipyard friends.
A celebration of life will be held 12:00 noon, Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Kings Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
