Nancy M. Stevenson who loved to be called "Nannie" by her family and friends departed her loving family on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2023.
Nannie was born in Holland, Virginia to Jobie and Lucy Holland on January 25, 1942. She raised her three children with love and devotion in Suffolk, Virginia.
She loved the Lord and was faithful attending church at Balm South Church with her family.
Nannie was a woman of strong faith who enjoyed bible study and family gatherings. She was an inspiration to many who enjoyed her stories and wisdom from the Lord. People who knew her also appreciated her sense of fashion. She was an impeccable dresser and kept up with the classy trends.
Nannie is survived by three children, Donald Holland of Ivor, VA, Alfrazier Holland (Mary) of Portsmouth, Va and Shentina Wright (Vashawn) of Newport News, VA; six grandchildren, Rosaland Felton, Shemah Wright, Dashawn Wright, Raymond, Jr. William Jr. and Amber Felton; one great granddaughter, Serentiy Robinson; she is also survived by loving dotting nieces, Chiquita James and Connie Taylor as well as a host of nieces, great nephews, the Harding familyk and a special god-daughter, Wanda Newby; special friends, Ms. Ophelia and Ms. Edna; extended family, Brian Hicks, Patricia Stith, Angela Rice and Deja Dugger.
A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Balm South, 3731 White Marsh Road, Suffolk, Virginia. She will be laid to rest in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have bee entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
