Myrtle Ann Broadus, 83, of Collier Crescent, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Accordius Health at Nansemond Pointe. She was born on March 2, 1938 in Everetts, NC to the late George and Ora Clemmons. In addition to her parents, Myrtle was predeceased in death by her daughters, Sharon Denise Broadus and Joyce Lynn Broadus; a son, Steven Joseph Broadus; four sisters, Gladys Purvis, Mildred Barber, Essie Mae Knight, and Dorothy Clemmons; and a brother, Charlie Clemmons. Myrtle was employed as a payroll clerk for an Automatic Data Processing company in New Jersey. She was a faithful and hardworking employee who dedicated over 31 years of stellar service with the company before retiring in 2002. Myrtle was also a member of East End Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member for many years. She leaves to cherish memories and carry on her precious legacy a son, Gerald Broadus of Suffolk, VA; a granddaughter, WaKiena White; three great-grandchildren; Auntaya Wilder, Tremaine White, and Trenaya White, 4 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A viewing will be held Friday, August 20, 2021 from 12 Noon to 7:00pm in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be held 11am Saturday, August 21, 2021 at East End Baptist Church, 1056 Portsmouth Blvd. Suffolk, VA 23434. Rev. Dr. Wayne D. Faison will deliver the message of comfort.
