Mildred Lee Copeland White

Mildred Lee Copeland White is a native of Suffolk, Virginia. She was born on January 30, 1934 to the late Joseph and Florence Copeland. She graduated from East Suffolk High School in Suffolk, Virginia. She met her late husband, Luther Wesley White in 1956, which they married later that year. She loved getting her hands dirty by gardening and other arts and crafts such as Fabergé eggs. Evening building a dollhouse from the bottom up! She loved to visit family and friends and build memories by taking pictures and scrapbooking. She leaves behind her pride and joy, her daughter, Joan Diane White Sweat (Keith); four grandchildren, Brandon White (Jamaica), Bria Johnson (Kareem), Kelisha Smith (Romell), and Demetria Sweat- Williams (Wesley); three great grandchildren Zhymani Smith, Kajaira Smith, and Wesley Williams, Jr. She is preceded by one brother, Maury Copeland (Lillian) and one sister, Maragret Boone (Thadges). She leaves one sister behind Martha Moody (Redell) and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. A public viewing will be held 1-6 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2022 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Laurel Hill U.C.C. Cemetery.
